Here’s Buffalo native Michael Angelakos and the new single from Passion Pit - VIDEO
Passion Pit has become one of the great electro-rock crossover success stories of the past few years, and Buffalo native Michael Angelakos has been an important part of that heady rise. A former member of local ska outfit Cherry Bing -- a band that, according to Artvoice's Donny Kutzbach -- also spawned the fairly successful Cute Is What We Aim For), Angelakos hooked up with some Berklee School of Music students in Boston in the 2007 and. with Angelakos adding keyboard and vocal work, the quintet has built an international reputation as one of the top indie-pop groups to rise from the American underground. Passion Pit has a new album, Gossamer, scheduled for release this summer. "Take A Walk" is the second single from that soon-to-be-released record. The band also begins a North American tour on June 22. No Buffalo date has been announced.
