With the announcement that this will be the band’s final headlining tour, Allstar Weekend comes to Buffalo for a farewell show.
The California-based group comprised of current members Zachary Porter, Cameron Quiseng and Michael Martinez will be taking the stage alongside Cute Is What We Aim For and Tiffany Alvord for a great show at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Club Infinity.
Known for hits such as “Come Down with Love,” “Dance Forever” and “Not Your Birthday,” Allstar Weekend looks to the future for another path to focus on music and their careers.
The band, who originally got their start thanks to an appearance on the Disney Channel will be taking a step in a different direction after this current tour. As stated in the group’s Tumblr page, this will be the last headlining tour for the band as the members are planning to work on separate projects. They will still perform at Warped Tour and previously committed engagements, but an indefinite hiatus is in the near future.
“This is something we decided very recently, and we’re still getting used to the idea, but it’s something we are all really excited about. As we were making this record, the more it became fully realized, the more we realized that this just wasn’t an Allstar Weekend record,” the band released. “What we want to do moving forward is not Allstar Weekend.”
A surprising announcement to many fans, the group will still be working together.
“The three of us, Michael, Cameron, and Zach are starting another band, which will release music completely different and separate from Allstar Weekend. The new album we have been working on will be released as our new project (currently unnamed). We will NOT be playing any Allstar Weekend songs at shows under the new project,” says the group on their Tumblr page.
You can catch Allstar Weekend along with Tiffany Alvord and Cute Is What We Aim For at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Club Infinity. Tickets for the show are $20 in advance, $25 at the door and $70 for VIP. The VIP tickets include admittance to the soundcheck performance, Q & A with the band, meet and greet photo opp., autographed 8x10 photo, commemorative VIP laminate and early entry to the show.
