Learn your fashion ABCs with our style and beauty series, taking a look at trends, local shops and ideas—one letter at a time.
“Alphabetical Style” will break down a weekly list of five trends pertaining to the featured letter. From clothing pieces and accessories to hair styles and makeup, we’ll cover it all. Take a look at our “Q-trends” including quintessential stripes, quick up-dos, quirky shoes, quartz pendants and Queen Anne necklines.
Quintessential stripes: the nautical trend will be back in full force this spring with everyone seeing stripes. Thin prints or chunky and colorful patterns will both make a statement this season.

Quick up-do: any easy way to tame uncooperative hair, pull your hair back into a low pony. Next, twist and wrap hair around the hair tie with bobby pins to create a sleek and easy look. Low-knotted styles will be perfect for spring.

Quirky shoes: these open loafers are too cold to wear now (brrrr, Buffalo) but will be the perfect alternative to flip flops in the spring. Combined with fun prints and polka dots, this footwear can’t get much cuter.
