Perhaps out of solidarity for Hostess declaring bankruptcy, INdustry night at Seabar, 475 Ellicott St., Buffalo, will pair local craft beers with loveable junk food snacks.

In tonight’s free event at 9, Buffalo Spree writer Julia Burke, who doubles as beer editor for the New York Cork Report and ran a marathon around Delaware Park in support for those effected by Superstorm Sandy, has chosen four pairings that include “junk food you probably haven’t eaten since 4/20.” We’re not entirely sure what that means, but we’re told people get the munchies on that April day.

Here are the pairings:

— Southern Tier Brewing Company’s Old Man Winter Ale with Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies—Dave Giczkowski to represent Southern Tier
— Custom Brew Crafters’ Black Licorice Stout with Raisinets, poured by representative Jack Dewey
— Flying Bison’s Blizzard Bock with Planters cheese-flavored peanut butter cracker sandwiches with Flying Bison founder Tim Herzog
— Community Beer Works’ the IPA with Bakin’ and Bacon’s Chocolate Bacon Brownies with CBW founder Ethan Cox

While I’m partial to Raisinets—how can you not love those smooth chocolatey, raisiny delights?—tonight’s IN lineup will satisfy the sweet tooth of Buffalo’s food fanatics.

IN is held bimonthly and on the first and third Mondays, and earlier this month, Buffalo’s food industry night welcomed Zamir Gotta from the Travel Channel’s No Reservations featuring Anthony Bourdain. Here are photos from that event.
