Buffalo Hunters’ final home game canceled, season ends

Because the Connecticut Constitution suspended operations due to a dispute with the American Ultimate Disc League, the Buffalo Hunters’ final regular season game has been canceled.
There will be no game at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Orchard Park Sports Complex. The Hunters close their inaugural season with a record of 2-13, with victories coming over the Rhode Island Rampage July 1 and a forfeit over the Columbus Cranes.
Connecticut and the AUDL are embroiled in an expansion dispute regarding the league’s intention of adding teams in Boston and New York City next season. The issue is currently being settled out of court, and the Constitution’s suspension appears to be a blessing for the Rampage, who vault into second place and a chance for the Eastern Division Crown Aug. 4 against Philadelphia.
