Caspian heads to Soundlab next month - VIDEO

Described as an “emotionally charged and highly cinematic” group, Caspian has really been making a name for themselves.

Band members including Philip Jamieson, Joe Vickers, Erin Burke-Moran, Calvin Joss, Chris Friedrich and Jonny Ashburn hail from just outside of Boston and have released their epic studio album “Waking Season”—an album which Spin called the best post-rock album of 2012.

The band was also featured as KEXP’s song of the day for their cut “Hickory ‘54” a couple of weeks ago.

According to SPIN, “Their new clip for ‘Procellous’ is five stormy minutes of Isis gone Kid A, full of comforting blues, trippy projections, dreamy slo-mo, and severe close-ups. It’s worth watching just to spot the f*cking Death Star control panel these dudes use as a ‘pedal rig.”

Does it get any more intriguing than that?

The six-piece band from Beverly, Mass. will be performing at 8 p.m on Saturday, March 23 at Soundlab. Tickets are $13 in advance and can be purchased through TicketWeb.

Check out their video for “Procellous” below.
