FC Buffalo’s Mike Reidy takes jump to Major League Soccer

FC Buffalo midfielder Mike Reidy was selected in the fourth round (No. 71 overall) of Major League Soccer’s Supplemental Draft by Sporting Kansas City, MLSSoccer.com reported.
A fixture on the wing for former head coach Dan Krzyzanowicz’s Blitzers the last two seasons, Reidy’s scintillating dribbling forays through NPSL defenses—including this glorious jaunt past five Binghamton defenders—earned him respect as one of the most dangerous one-on-one attackers in the NPSL.
Only 5’7, 150 pounds, Reidy—who just concluded his senior season at Colgate University—notched seven goals and paced the Raiders in points with 16. A two-time All-Patriot League choice, Reidy earned a place on the second team of the NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic selections, too.
Reidy is the fourth Blitzer to vault to a professional squad after spending time with the local semi-pro club. Krystian Witkowski was drafted by the Philadelphia Union in last year’s MLS Supplemental Draft, Kendell McFayden spent the second half of the 2012 season as a member of the Rochester Rhinos and Daniel Stevens plays professionally with the Kemi Kings in Finland.
