Former Canisius Griff covers ‘The Hockey News’ rookie issue

Putting him in the company of other “young giants,” former Canisius Griff, Cory Conacher has been making a big splash in the NHL this season.

The 23-year old from right across the border in Burlington, Ontario is currently playing as a center for the Tampa Bay Lightning. So far this season, Conacher has come up with 7 goals and 18 assists in his 19 games played.

Already a rumored “rookie of the year” candidate, Conacher is currently leading NHL rookies in points (18) and assists. These early stats have caught the attention of the hockey elite, which is why he is gracing the cover of The Hockey News’ March 18 issue, on sale now.
