Ben Stiller cast Godfrey to play himself in “Zoolander.” If that doesn’t scream funny, I don’t know what is.

The funny man will be in town tonight and Saturday for a mini-weekend of four shows in downtown Buffalo at Helium Comedy Club.

According to Comedy Central, “Upon arrival in New York, Godfrey’s first job was as a warm-up comedian for ‘The Cosby Show’ on CBS. After a few years as a working comedian in New York, Godfrey landed several high profile projects. Godfrey’s other film roles include ‘Johnson Family Vacation,’ ‘The Cook Out’ with Queen Latifah, ‘Phat Girlz’ starring Oscar Award-winning comedienne Mo’Nique and ‘Soul Plane’ alongside Snoop Dogg.”

The comedian is probably best known for his role as the “7UP Guy” in the popular 7UP national campaign which lasted two years and included Super Bowl commercials.

You can catch Godfrey at 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. tonight in addition to 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. Saturday night at Helium Comedy Club. Tickets range from $18 to $27 and can be purchased through Helium’s website here.
