With literally hundreds of sessions and panels to choose from, SXSW has given S.J. and I little downtime while in Austin this week.

Planning our schedules for the day every morning, we’ve found multiple talks from organizations and industry leaders that were taking place at the same times, across town and sometimes just impossible to get to. Luckily for us, the internet is a fabulous tool. And with such a tech-savvy group of individuals involved, we’ve been able to still find a way to experience it all—as if we were in two places at once.

For example, I couldn’t attend one entitled the Mashable Variety Show, featuring the CEO and founder, Pete Cashmore. Following the revolution of the internet and how it affects us, the session discussed “how news delivery has moved from your doorstep to your newsfeed.”

Mashable then made their keynote video available online for those who attended (and others like me who did not) to watch in their own time. Here is the clip from the SXSW keynote below:

In addition to Mashable’s presentation, I was impressed by the PBS prescence at SXSW. Sometimes regarded with an old-school feel, PBS is up with their stuff when it comes to digital technology and integration. Sending Steve Goldbloom out onto the trade show convention floor, PBS recapped some new digital startups and technology advancements all making their debut or looking for their big break at SXSW.

Finally, one of the biggest names to make an appearance this year at SXSW may not be who you’d expect. Internet celebrity “Grumpy Cat” has been one of the most talked about topics here in Austin with people sharing photos with the furry animal who was hanging out at the Mashable house (incorporated in the presentation earlier).
