It’s showtime for Showplace Theater

Showplace Theater’s doors were shuttered five years ago, but the iconic Buffalo music venue will once again vibrate with energy ... and reverb.
According to a the concert hall’s Facebook page, Showplace Theater, 1065 Grant St. in Buffalo, will rise again—as early as next year.
The “about” section credits the Goretti family, the city of Buffalo, the Glass Block Guys, volunteers and neighbors for bringing the dead venue back to life.
Earlier this year and late late year, Buffalo Rising and Artvoice wrote pieces on the hall’s vacancy. Today, buffaBLOG posted the announcement of the venue’s impending re-opening.
Here’s how the future facade of the concert space is envisioned by its current owners:
