Lake Effect Comedy sends off local comic Chet Wild

blog by S.J. Velasquez  •

A handful of Buffalo comics will offer a proper sendoff to fellow stand-up comedian Chet Wild on Saturday night.

Wild, a Buffalo-based comic who’s been working the Western New York comedy scene for a few years, is set to ride off into the sunset in the weeks ahead, bound for Los Angeles where he hopes to hit it big, maybe even work on his tan.

But before skipping town, he’ll do one last set as part of the Lake Effect Comedy Series at the Adam’s Mark, 120 Church St. in downtown Buffalo.

Returning in 2013 after a successful run last year, the Lake Effect Comedy series is organized by Movie Maddness podcaster Jason Pomietlasz. Pomietlasz and fellow podcaster Adam Hernandez will take the stage along with Jimi Pidd and Anthony Rizzo for their respective sets. Wild is headlining the show, which will be hosted by Eric Lingenfelter.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and the show begins at 9. Tickets are $9 at the door or $7 in advance.

For more information, visit the event’s official Facebook page.
