Quirky blonde takes the MAAC: Day 3

I’m sad to report that my documentation of the MAAC tournament is coming to an end. The championship game between Iona and Manhattan is at 9 tonight at the MassMutual Center. Directly following, Ben T., Aly and I will drive back to Buffalo. Here’s one final update about Day 3 of the MAAC Tournament from a (Griff) fan’s point of view:

I’m lucky enough to have a best friend who is as self-motivated when it comes to fitness as I am. We had no problem hitting the gym at 8 a.m. to start our day off the right way. I swear we did more than take mirror pictures while laughing.

These blog posts don’t write themselves. We hung out at Kava Press, a small local coffee shop with great WiFi, for the morning, afternoon and early evening. We worked, laughed and sipped on some delicious espresso. Aren’t we precious?

MAAC-car-nap

I didn’t get much sleep last night (refer to the video below for further explanation). Since coffee has proven to give me no added energy, Aly and I took a quick nap in the back of Ben’s car… in an abandoned parking lot. At least the doors were locked, right?

In all fairness, I did not utter a sound on Saturday night. I was quite as a small sloth. Sunday night? I think my subconscious was rebelling against the unbridled energy of one “corky little blonde.”
