Send Victor E. Bull onward in SUNY Mascot Madness

blog by Ben Tsujimoto  •

The University at Buffalo’s mascot, Victor E. Bull, has reached the Elite Eight of SUNY’s Mascot Madness competition.

The friendly blue bull with the floppy tail, intimidating horns and peculiar nose-ring needs your voting assistance in a close tilt with “Baxter,” the Binghamton Bearcat. The current match-up is posted to the right of the screen.

After ousting the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolf in the first round and the SUNY Cobleskill Tiger in the second, Victor E. Bull (get it? Victory?) has a chance to reach the mascot Final Four, but the local legend is trailing by a narrow margin, and voting closes at noon on Friday.

You can vote quickly by visiting this link—there’s no log-in required—and then check out the remainder of the bracket below.

Over 7,500 people have already voted, and just over 100 votes separate the two mascots as we head deep into the second half—err, Friday morning. Anyhow, help give Victor his due!

TAGGED: baxter, binghamton bearcats, suny mascot madness, suny mascots, ub bulls, university at buffalo, victor e. bull
