ReddRoxx Rundown: Hail Caesar

blog by Maria Redd • August 17, 2012 @ 10:42am
Female MC Miss Armani Caesar was raised on Buffalo’s east side and this young lady is no foreigner to the struggles associated with life in the ghetto. In a city where many fall between the cracks, Caesar didn’t allow her less-than-ideal surroundings define her as a person. She is inspired by hip-hop legends such as Lil’ Kim, Foxy Brown, Queen Latifah, The Notorious B.I.G., Jay Z, and Nas.
Caesar’s first mixtape, Bath and Body Work, built her buzz online virally. Since then, Armani has been featured on numerous projects headed by DJ Cutmaster C, Superstar J and Worldwide Legacy, to name a few.
Armani’s sound is a mix of East Coast, Down South and New School hip-hop, with just a touch of R&B to set the mood and pace. Caesar continues to write, record and develop her own rhymes while handling her business and actively pursuing her degree in business-marketing at North Carolina Central University.
Armani Caesar is ready to leave her mark as the new model of female rapper—a mixture of street swag, aggression, sex appeal and quality records. Her new mixtape will drop this Thanksgiving—Thursday, Nov. 25. She is scheduled to perform at several venues in the New York City region - stay posted to her Facebook page at for dates! Check out her music at Reverb Nation.
Introducing a young, up-and-coming artist from Buffalo with a unique sound—Timmy Lee Gleen, better known as TLG. He is is a rapper, singer and guitarist. Gleen spent most of his life on the West Side of Buffalo. His craft became his passion when he first started recording after he joined Diffur Entertainment in the summer of 2010. Shortly after, he began working on his debut, The Dead End Mixtape, which was released on August 9. Now TLG plans to show that he is one of the soon-to-be elite musicians and lyricists to hit Buffalo’s music scene.
Checking In: The Talk of The Town Hair and Fashion Show If you missed it, too bad—The Talk of The Town Hair and Fashion Show was a spectacular event. Beautiful works of art in the form of hair and fashions graced the runway this past weekend at The Millennium Hotel. My absolute favorite part of the show was the “Ghetto Hair” category! The creations were not Ghetto but AMAZING! All I’m going to say is Go Bills! You’ll see why, stay posted….photos coming soon!!
