Top 10 Fitzpatrick tweets after his release from Bills

Ryan Fitzpatrick essentially served a presidential term in Buffalo, a four-year career that featured lots of facial hair, 64 painful interceptions, weird celebratory haircuts and a lot of fun fall barbecues. He was alternately praised and mocked for his Harvard degree, often scorned for his play on the field and beloved for his temperament off the field.
As you heard yesterday, I’m sure, Fitzpatrick is a Bill no longer—the team announced his release at 4:19 p.m. through Twitter. The Buffalo News’ Mark Gaughan reported just prior that the Bills and Fitz couldn’t come to an agreement with a renegotiated deal, and that was the final blow.

Even though his arm wasn’t strong enough to consistently slice through Western New York’s December winds, Fitzpatrick was very “Buffalo”—a good-natured underdog. It’s sad to see him go, but a necessary move for the Bills—especially in light of the Deadspin article focused on the taped phone call between Bills GM Buddy Nix and Bucs GM Mark Dominik.
We combed through Twitter to find the most clever, amusing and cruel tweets discussing the end of Fitzpatrick’s tenure:
