It’s easy to be a wimp on Fat Tuesday. For many, having to temper the celebration because of work the next day doesn’t necessarily ruin the party, but it certainly puts a damper on the fun. Admit it—you trolled back to your car last night with a pouty face, muttering curses about your 8 a.m. work shift. When can you let loose?

Best of Buffalo Promotions presents its first ever Mardi Gras-themed Buffalo Bar Crawl extravaganza at 8 p.m. Friday night on Chippewa St. As usual, admission is $10 and includes a souvenir beer stein and a scorecard to keep track of bar-hopping progress. Do you have the stamina to last until 4 a.m.?

Partiers are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance, as there are now two registration areas for those with tickets in hand. Stationed in front of 4Play, 45 West Chippewa, and Purple Monkey Tropical Pub, at corner of Delaware and Chippewa, these tables will drastically reduce the wait for those who buy ahead. Also, credit cards are not accepted for on-site registration, which is located outside of SubZero Nightclub, 70 West Chippewa.

Registrants will receive a wristband that allows free cover into the 15 participating bars and drink specials at each. The Bar Crawl’s Facebook event page suggests that more bars are in the hopper, making your quest to finish the scorecard a bit tougher of a test. Those who manage to complete the card receive a free Buffalo Bar Crawl t-shirt and a hangover-free following morning. Kidding about that last part.
