MMMBop under the stars

by S.J. Velasquez • June 29, 2011 @ 9:12am
Update: Tickets are still available for tonight’s Starry Night in the Garden, to benefit the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens.
Since we last reported, Michelle Branch has stepped in to replace Christina Perri. Hanson is still the headlining act, and John Vesely of Secondhand Serenade is in Buffalo—according to his tweets—and is ready to rock. It’s an all-ages show and general admission, so bring a lawn chair if you want a seat. Otherwise, get ready to pop a squat on the grass.
Reps from Buffalo.com will be in attendance, so be sure to smile and say cheese when we come after you with our cameras! We’ll be handing out a stack of our popular Buffalo.com Monster stickers, designed by the talented duo at Hero Designs, too.
Previously reported:
Admit it to yourself—you really liked Hanson back in the day, and you probably still have a little bit of a crush on the blondie brothers who won our hearts with their smash-hit single MMMBop.
The Hanson brothers are still cranking out catchy tunes, and they’ll be performing some of your favorites at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens next month. Starry Night in the Garden will also feature performing artists Christina Perri and John Vesely of Secondhand Serenade.
Tickets to the 6 p.m. June 29 show are $40 for general admission, which includes entry to the concert and the Gardens, a wine glass, wine, beer and samples from local restaurants. If you’re looking for a little something extra, $100 VIP tickets get you everything included in a general admission ticket, plus a VIP party and concert viewing area, a special food and wine selection, and celebrity band appearances.
