Shakespeare in the Park: ‘Richard the Third’

It's summer, so it's a great time to take advantage of the Queen City's beautiful Delaware Park. Shakespeare in the Park is kicking off its summer season with a dramatic production of 'Richard the Third'. Whether you are a theatre lover or not, go with some friends and enjoy a nice picnic as you lounge out at the park.

Here's a little tidbit about the play if you aren't familiar with it. After a long civil war between the Royal families of York and Lancaster, England enjoys a period of peace under King Edward IV. However, Edward’s younger brother, Richard, resents Edward’s power and happiness. Angry, power hungry, and bitter over his own physical deformity, Richard plots to kill all those who stand between him and the throne.
