Alfred State boasts best burger in Buffalo region?

Where can one find the best burger around Buffalo? About 90 miles outside of the city at a college dining hall, apparently.
The New York Beef Industry Council recently announced the 2012 list of best burger regional winners, and the Buffalo-area winner is the “Asian twist mandarine beef burger” from the Terrace at Alfred State.
Alfred’s burger will go up against nine other regional winners to be judged in April or May, and the best burger in the state will be announced May 15.
How did the beef council decide that a college cafeteria burger is the best that the Buffalo area could offer? Participating burger joints were judged on appearance, creativity, taste and service. For a full list of competition rules, visit the beef council’s site.
