Bagel Jay’s celebrates a decade in business, thanks customers with delicious fluids

Bagel Jay’s Bakery and Cafe, with two locations in Amherst and one in Buffalo, will commemorate a decade in existence by offering its customers 10-cent drinks—a 16 oz. fountain Pepsi or a 12 oz. McCullagh Dark Roasted Coffee—with the purchase of any sandwich during the month of September.

For instance, if I was in the mood for “the Downtowner”—rare roast beef, red onion, hot banana peppers, and a shmear of garlic and herb cream cheese—I could tack on a pleasant fountain drink and pay $5.99 plus tax.  What a delightful value!

Bagel Jay’s is locally owned by Jay Gershberg, who formerly ran Bagel Brothers before selling it to Manhattan Bagel.  The brand has expanded from its original location on Klein Road to additional outlets in Marshall’s Plaza on Delaware in Buffalo and on Millersport at North Forest in Amherst.
