Cinco de Mayo en Buffalo
blog by S.J. Velasquez • May 04, 2012 @ 11:56am
Hey there, eager Cinco de Mayo celebrant, looking for something fun to do Saturday?
Scouring Google and Facebook led me to these official Cinco celebrations in Buffalo, but there must be more out there:
Cinco de Mayo at Sinful Nightclub
334 Delaware Ave., Buffalo
8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Food and drink specials
Cozumel Cinco de Mayo party
153 Elmwood Ave., Buffalo
Bar opens at 11 a.m.
Food and drink specials, giveaways, nacho stand, live DJ, Kentucky Derby specials
191 Allen St., Buffalo
Bar opens at 2 p.m.; food service begins at 3 p.m.
Lake Effect Furies Drunken Spelling Bee
Rohall’s Corner, 540 Amherst St.
It’s not technically a Cinco de Mayo party, but it’s happening on May 5
While you’re getting your drink on, impress your friends with a little history lesson about the May holiday—which is not, in fact, Mexican Independence Day.
Am I missing an official May 5 event? There must be a bunch of other events happening in and around the city, and we’d like to know about them. Please leave a tip in the comments section below.
