horsefeathers marketFor Western New Yorkers looking for an Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market feel during winter months, here’s Horsefeathers.

The new indoor winter market opened its West Side doors to customers for the first time Saturday, and it will open up at 8 a.m. and close at noon each Saturday from now until May 4.

Located at 346 Connecticut St., the Horsefeathers building houses this temporary winter market, and it will soon become home to Buffalonians. Above the market, which will eventually house permanent vendors, are 24 loft-style apartments on four floors.

On any given Saturday from now until May, the indoor market will feature no fewer than 12 vendors. To find out who will be selling what each week, visit Horsefeathers’ official Facebook page for updates.

The Horsefeathers building was constructed in 1896 and used to be a furniture store, developer Karl Frizlen said in a Buffalo News interview.
