Tim Hortons customizable cup

blog by S.J. Velasquez  •

Having wrapped up the Roll Up the Rim to Win campaign, Tim Hortons has moved on to an interactive virtual project that allows fans to personalize the iconic Timmies coffee cup—but don’t even dare get cheeky, Dunkin’ Donuts fans.

You get 12 characters, but certain strings of letters are prohibited. For example, try typing “Dunkin’ Donuts” or “Mister Donut”—a chain once present in Buffalo but now resides primarily in Asia and El Salvador—and receive this pop-up message:

I was able to type “Krispy Kreme” in the customizable field. Get on that, Timmies!

Don’t even bother with profane language. I got the warning above for typing in “butt,” and that’s not even that bad. All the folks with the surname Butts are shaking their fists, I bet.

TAGGED: coffee, doughnuts, dunkin' donuts, facebook, mister donut, tim hortons
