Rejoice, Mighty Taco lovers, your beloved Buffito is receiving national attention.

According to Esquire, a prominent national men’s magazine, Buffalo’s local chain Mighty Taco ranks in the top 25 of “The Best Late Night Food in the U.S.A.”

You know what the wings taste like. Get the Buffito instead, an alchemy of Buffalo chicken, blue cheese, and burrito fixings. In a list that mentions juicy cheeseburgers from Connecticut, a crispy seafood pajun from New York City and a gooey cheesesteak from Pittsburgh, Buffalo’s signature hot-sauce-and-chicken combination—deemed “Buffalo-style” in the rest of the country—makes the cut. The Mighty Taco online menu defines the burrito as follows:

Buffalo Style Chicken topped with creamy blue cheese dressing in a soft flour torilla - available in Small or Large

While I prefer its more adventurous cousin—the Nacho Buffito, identical to the Buffito except it houses tiny pieces of crunchy nachos, the Buffito edged out Western New York’s other popular late night snacks like Nick Tahou’s “Garbage Plate”, Jim’s Steakout’s Stinger and the Pink’s steak sandwich.

Now that there’s a Mighty Taco downtown, Buffalo’s late-night Buffito cravings can more easily be satisfied. Kudos, Mighty Taco.
