Cheers to the fact that hockey season is about to kick off.
In addition to the announcement of a stellar contract for Cody Hodgson, the Buffalo Sabres have also announced the date for their 4th Annual Alumni Fall Wine Festival, taking place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 at First Niagara Center.
Hosted by the Buffalo Sabres Alumni Association, attendees will get a chance to mingle with some of their favorite former players while enjoying treats from local wineries and restaurants. Additionally, there will be live music and an impressive silent auction featuring unique items from current and former players.
Tickets to the Sabres Alumni Fall Wine Festival are $75 and can be purchased through the Sabres website or at the First Niagara Center box office. Parking is complimentary for the event in the Sabres ramp located next to the hockey arena.
If that’s not enough to get you interested, “all proceeds from the event will benefit breast cancer care causes in Western New York in addition to the mammography bus funded by First Niagara Financial Corp., the Sabres Alumni Association and Erie County Medical Center Lifeline Foundation,” according to the team.
“The bus conveys two digital mammography machines to under-served and under-tested women in all areas of Western New York.”
