The Buffalo Bisons just amped up the team’s Buffalo status by making Sahlen’s the official hot dog of Coca-Cola Field.
According to a press release, Sahlen’s dogs will be served throughout the stadium, at every concession stand, for the Bisons’ 2012 season. The arrangement is all part of a five-year deal between the frankfurter producer and the Bisons.
“Sahlen’s has been a Western New York staple for over 140 years and, like the Bisons, is a true summer tradition in Buffalo,” said Robert Free, director of food service operations for the Bisons.
To kick off the partnership, the Bisons are offering free Sahlen’s hot dogs to attendees of the Family Day Open House from noon to 3 p.m. March 3. And if a free weenie wasn’t enough to get you to attend, maybe the promise of complimentary booze will win you over. Flying Bison and Saranac breweries and Bully Hill will all be on hand to offering tastings.
