If you Google search “loganberry,” the top results will be directly related to the popular Western New York drink, but have you every seen an actual loganberry?

Probably not. The hybrid berry is believed to be a cross between a wild blackberry and a red raspberry—neither of which taste like the fountain drink—grown mainly on the west coast. This got me thinking, has anyone in Buffalo ever eaten a true loganberry? Do any local grocers or farmers sell loganberries?

I’m on a mission now. I want to see and taste a true loganberry. Who’s with me?
