Every year, several new Western New York restaurants choose to sell their goods at the iconic Taste of Buffalo, the city’s grand summer food festival that engulfs Niagara Square and Delaware Avenue this Saturday (11 a.m. to 9 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.).

In 2012, 13 restaurants join the fray, including four food trucks eligible to participate for the first time. Below is the complete list with the three or four menu choices being offered. Individual food tickets are 50 cents apiece, and typical sample-size food options range from four to eight tickets.

Portion sizes range wildly, so you may want to crane your neck to see what others are buying from the booth before stepping in yourself. Or, you could simply do the less creepy method and just ask fellow eaters.
