Two more Five Guys

Chain hamburger restaurant Five Guys will expand its Western New York presence by adding two locations, the local franchise’s Facebook page announced this weekend.
A Southtowns location will open at the southwest corner of the intersection of McKinley Parkway and Highland in Hamburg. The restaurant, which will feature an outdoor patio, is tentatively planning to open in mid-October as part of a new lifestyle center south of Wegmans.
The second new location—the fourth in Western New York including the Walden Galleria and Transit-Maple joints—is scheduled for November at the corner of Kenmore and Delaware avenues in North Buffalo. It will fill the vacancy where Hollywood Video used to be near Anderson’s and Applebee’s.
Five Guys prides itself in never using microwaves, its double-patty regular burgers and its volcano of French fries in every bag. Make no mistake—it’s definitely comfort food—but the temptation is sometimes too strong.
