Watch Joey Chestnut make wing-eating history - VIDEO

Throwing back 191 wings in 12 minutes -- that's 7.61 lbs of spicy chicken limbs -- Joey "Jaws" Chestnut broke a competitive-eating record at the National Buffalo Wing Festival over the weekend.

Chestnut beat out last year's champ Sonya "the Black Widow" Thomas, who consumed 6.36 lbs of chicken wings during Sunday's competition.

"It was incredible, an amazing contest," Chestnut told the Buffalo News. "It was just a matter of getting the right rhythm. And Sonya is a great competitor."

Later in the day, Chestnut tweeted: "It took six hours to recover from 7 pounds of chicken wings. now it's time to party in Buffalo and celebrate a new record."
