Basketball Shootout

Description: Prizes awarded for the highest score from one individual in the two days. Prizes awarded in three categories according to age 3-6, 6-12, 12-up? $1.00 per shot.

Book Club Meeting

Description: Virgina DeBerry & Donna Grant authors come to Buffalo to discuss their new book, sign books and read and answer questions about there book "Far From the Tree".

Family Photo Booth

Description: Polaroid photos to be taken for $1.00. Mats will be provided for free and can be decorated.

Juneteenth Book Sharing

Description: Free books donated by Project Flight, poetry & writing workshops sponsored by Just Buffalo Literary Inc, open mike for local poets and writers to give their words a voice.

Juneteenth Festival

Description: free outdoors cultural event held at Martin Luther King Park

Praise & Worship

Description: Praise and worship includes singers and dancers from various church groups ranging from traditional to gospel rap. Some of the groups are: Sons for Thunder, S'WAYNE, Saxophonist Willie Holton, Second Chance Ministries, Andrea Curtis, Durham AME Zion Men's Choir.

Underground Railroad bus Tours
Date: 6/15/2002 through 6/16/2002 every Saturday and Sunday
Description: Free, provided by Motherland Connextions in conjunction with Juneteenth Festival tour of historical sites in the WNY area. 2 p.m. & 4 p.m. Sat & Sun

Youth Committee
Date: 6/16/2002
Description: Free style open mike talent, Ultimate Vibes Sound Company will provide a power sound system for the free rap style rap sessions and open mic and talent search. Winners will be judged by city personalities. Basketball games will be randomly played.
