SEND US A PHOTO OF YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS LIVING IN WESTERN NEW YORK FOR A CHANCE TO APPEAR ON BUFFALO.COM PLUS A GREAT PRIZE!

  1. ELIGIBILITY- NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The contest is free to enter and open to anyone 18 years of age or older and a resident of New York State, except employees of The Buffalo News, The Talking Phone Book, associated sponsors and agencies, their assignees, licensees, and members of their immediate families living in the same household. Contest must be entered on-line. Offer void where prohibited by law.
  2. HOW TO ENTER: Click on Living in Western New York on the Buffalo.com home page. Complete the online form and follow the instructions to submit your digital photos. A short (20 word maximum) caption must accompany the photo. Captions will be edited by The Buffalo News staff as deemed necessary.
  3. ENTRY RULES AND DISCLAIMERS: The Buffalo News, The Talking Phone Book, associated sponsors, their agencies, their assignees, and licensees are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, miscommunications, failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical or electronic, including without limitation the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information online, or for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, destroyed, delayed, stolen, misdirected or illegible entries. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of The Buffalo News and The Talking Phone Book and will not be returned. In case of dispute as to identity of a winner, such entry will be declared made by the registered user of the e-mail account, and if a prize is won, and such registered user is a valid entrant, the prize will be awarded to such registered user. Contest organizers are not responsible if you are unable to enter online for any reason. Entrant must have permission from people in photograph to submit a photograph. Buffalo.com reserves the right to contact people in the submitted photograph to verify.
  4. HOW PRIZES ARE AWARDED: Photos that are selected will appear in random succession in the "Living Here" section of Buffalo.com. Those whose photos are selected to appear on Buffalo.com will be entered to win movie passes for two. 1 winner of movie passes for two will be selected each week. Prizes will be mailed or delivered to addresses on the entry forms. Some restrictions may apply. Should any winner be unable to use the passes, no cash, gift certificate or pass substitutions will be made. Winners will be selected from all eligible entries submitted.
  5. PRIZE ACCEPTANCE: Prizes must be accepted as awarded, no cash equivalents, no substitutions. Contest organizers reserve the right to award a prize of equal or greater value in the event of unavailability. Winners agree to allow use of their name, address and photo for publicity without compensation. All photos will become the property of The News. Contest organizers and sponsors are not responsible for any injury incurred by a contestant as a result of winning or participating. Any taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  6. The decisions of the contest organizers are final on all matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment.
  7. This contest is subject to all federal, state and local regulations and is void where restricted or prohibited by law. Winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability after notification of winning and release of prize or an alternate winner will be selected. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, or suspend this contest should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor(s) corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the contest. In such event, the winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received up to the time of such cancellation, termination or suspension.
  8. By entering this contest, you acknowledge that you have read and accept these rules and agree to be bound by them.
  9. Each contest participant agrees (a) to the terms of these Official Rules, and (b) to release, discharge, and hold harmless the sponsors, and their respective subsidiaries, employees, officers, directors, advisors, consultants, advertising and promotion agencies, and prize suppliers from and against any and all liability, damages, costs, and/or expenses arising out of their participation and/or acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of any prize received in this contest.
  10. By entering the contest, the entrants consent to the use of his or her name and/or likeness for publicity and promotional purposes without additional compensation being paid.
