You’re licking your chops in anticipation, not only because there’s a Sabres game tonight, but also because loathed Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic comes to Buffalo after inciting the fury of Sabres nation. Off with his head!

For a refresher, Lucic unleashed a savage open-ice hit toward the head of Ryan Miller on Nov. 12 in Boston’s 6-2 victory at the TD Garden—and he avoided suspension. Watch the video below.

NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan trusted Lucic’s judgment that the Bruins’ forward didn’t have enough time to dodge the collision with Miller, who’s currently on the shelf with a concussion.

Vicious hits to the head? “They’re just love-taps, essentially,” Fox News’ Megyn Kelly would say.

The debate is this: should Sabres fans harass Lucic tonight, or will he actually take the taunting as motivation? If you’re okay with the former, then here are a few ideas (some of them are a little obscure, so let’s hope he’s not too dumb:)

—“Bantam failure” —Lucic wasn’t selected in the 2003 WHL bantam draft, and he spent the evening crying into his dinner table. Hockey players do cry, and it’s really embarrassing.

—“Stolen Ring”—Lucic was the victim of theft when his Memorial Cup ring was stolen by burglars in 2008. Why burglars targeted the family of a dude who’s one of the more rugged NHLers is beyond our comprehension, but they were successful, and the CHL had to re-issue another ring.

— “Dirty”—Watch Lucic’s sucker punch of Atlanta’s Freddy Meyer last year (slow motion at 2:50), and tell me he’s not a dirty player.

—“Cut from Canada”—Lucic failed to make Team Canada for the 2010 Winter Olympics and was forced to watch from afar as his Bruins’ teammate Patrice Bergeron won gold.

—“You’re ugly”—Let’s face it, he’s ugly.
