JetBlue unveils unlimited-travel deal

blog by S.J. Velasquez  •

It’s a jet-setter’s dream: travel the country for a flat rate.

JetBlue’s just announced its BluePass options, and Buffalonians can benefit, if they’re willing to spend a lot of time in Boston. There are three BluePass options on the table: two involve travel to/from Boston, and third involves Long Beach, Calif., as a via point. Buffalo is listed as a destination for only the Boston packages, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get to California from Buffalo.

For about $2,000, fly from Buffalo to Bogota, or Buffalo to Burbank, or Buffalo to Barbados—and these are only a few of the destinations from which you can choose—but be prepared to first fly to Boston and any other applicable via points before reaching your destination. For every destination on your wish-list, you’ll have to report back to Boston and fly from Logan International Airport.

There’s also a less expensive package (costs about $1,500) that allows travelers to visit selection destinations on the east coast. The passes are valid from Aug. 22 to Oct. 22, but if you play your cards right, you could do a heck of a lot of traveling in that timeframe.

If you’re thinking of buying, act fast. According to Boston.com, the last time JetBlue offered an all-you-can-jet pass, it sold out in just a few days.
