Snowman Sundays

blog by S.J. Velasquez  •

Doesn’t matter that the temperatures have been unseasonably warm in Buffalo this winter—the snow[man-building] must go on!

Every Sunday in February, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York invites families to compete in snowman-making challenges at parks throughout the area. BlueCross BlueShield will provide all the tools and accessories for the snowmen—errr, snowpeople, if we’re trying to be politically correct—and the snow if Mother Nature decides not to cooperate.

Here’s the complete schedule, along with links for registering:

1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 5, Martin Luther King Jr. Park, Buffalo

noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 12, Buffalo Winterfest & Powderkeg Festival, Niagara Square, Buffalo

noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 19, Chestnut Ridge Park, Orchard Park

noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 26, Jewish Community Center - Benderson Campus, North Forest Road, Amherst
