When 8-year-olds attack

Screen capture from WGRZ video

Forget about stealing candy from a baby. These babies stole candy from a charitable organization and caused thousands of dollars in damage.

According to a WGRZ report, a group of children broke into Hearts Thrift Shop on Tonawanda Street in Buffalo just before midnight Friday, and they rushed the candy counter where the burglars stole candy and a candy machine. They also walked away with clothing from the store, which supports a soup kitchen.

Nicholas Calandra, a representative for Hearts for the Homeless, said the burglars were young—one, he said, appeared to be approximately 8 years old—and they caused an estimated $2,000 in damage to the store.

The burglary was caught on the store’s security camera. The footage was released to WGRZ and can be seen in the video below.
