It’s Canada Day, and I spent the whole morning thinking about how awesome it was to grow up so close to Ontario. Buffalonians can drive to Toronto in about the same time it takes to get to Rochester. We’ve been drinking Tim Hortons double-doubles since the ‘80s. We watched Sesame Street in two languages.

Recently, a writer from Toronto gave Buffalo some love. Now it’s our turn to talk up our neighbors to the north—well, west.

Now matter what anyone says, we actually have some of the best weather. Our seasons are beautiful here and each one is unique and SAFE! No hurricanes or tornados (usually!).

The best part is being able to catch all of the concerts in Toronto that aren’t able to make a stop in Buffalo! I’ve seen Pearl Jam more in Toronto/Canada than I have in Buffalo.
