Buffalonians Tracy Giblin and Steven J. Fox are in the running for an all-expenses-paid dream wedding in Charleston, S.C., but they need votes to secure the grand prize.

The couple hails from Western New York, but they have special places in their hearts for the picturesque southern city, where they decided to hold their destination wedding. Knowing that, they decided to submit an entry for an all-inclusive wedding contest, and the couple’s creative video grabbed the attention of the judges. They’re now one of the top four couples.

The winning couple will receive a wedding package worth $50,000, including ceremony and reception at Charleston’s Magnolia Gardens, catering, a tent rental, flowers, invitations, a wedding gown, cake, bar service, limo rental, a two-night stay at the Charleston Place Hotel, a wedding planner, a cake and a photographer, Giblin said.

Gilbin and Fox met in 2008 and were engaged October 2011. Both are graduate students—Giblin is pursuing her master’s degree in art education at Buffalo State, and Fox is an MFA candidate in UB’s department of media study. The cash-strapped grad students originally hoped to have a small beach wedding, but they stumbled across the “Sharing the Romance” contest and decided to throw their entry into the ring. Now they have a chance to experience a wedding like no other.
