If my name was Kirk Morrison, and a Buffalo Bills linebacker of the same name offered me tickets to a Bills game in exchange for my Twitter handle @KirkMorrison, I’d tell him to take a hike.

Lucky for the linebacker, Canadian college student Kirk Morrison is a nicer person than I will ever be, and he graciously accepted the Bills player’s offer.

According the the Regina Leader-Post, University of Regina student Kirk Morrison was approached by the linebacker’s rep about the Twitter name. The rep said that the football player was willing to give the Canadian kid tickets to any Bills game, he’d meet him before or after the game, and cover the costs of travel and accommodations.

“I certainly wasn’t a Bills fan until about a week ago,” non-football-player Morrison said in the newspaper interview. “I have become a huge Bills fan ever since we made this deal.”

Back in August, the Saskatchewan native told CBC News, “Twitter is a very small part of my life ... I can let my 83 followers go.”

The tweeter-formally-known-as-@KirkMorrison is planning to attend the Bills vs. Jets game Nov. 6 in Buffalo with his brother. The Morrison siblings will make it a full-blown Buffalo sports weekend. They plan to take in the Sabres vs. Calgary Flames game on Nov. 4 while they’re in town.
