It was a long break for most of the Sabres this weekend, but Jason Pominville and Luke Adam kept busy at the NHL All-Star weekend in Ottawa.

The players, recognized as the best of the best in hockey got to strut their stuff in the skills competitions and entertain the fans with a glorified pick-up hockey game—the All-Star game. Adam, representing the rookies this year, participated in the hardest shot competition and pulled off a 98mph slapper. Boston’s Zdeno Chara ending up winning that round with a record setting 108.8.

Pominville made an impact during the All-Star weekend participating in the relay heat and making it to the final rounds of the shoot out competition. In the main event, the All-Star game, he had a goal and an assist, but it wasn’t enough for Team Alfredsson to pull off a win. Team Chara won a slight victory beating them out 12 to 9. Overall, both players represented Buffalo well and held their own against the league’s top players.

Take a look at the Sabres’ videos below for some of the best highlights and interviews of the Buffalo boys. Adam’s interview with Pominville after the game is a beauty to watch at the bottom.
