The Axford Report: May 1, 2011

After a rocky start, Milwaukee Brewers RP John Axford - he of one season of Canisius baseball fame - looks like he may be back on track. Our man Axe blew a save against the tough Philadelphia Phillies on April 18 (his second BS of the season), but since that time he has successfully converted two saves in four appearances and allowed nary a run. On the season, the Moustachax is 0-1 with 5 saves and 11 Ks in 10.1 IP. He has given up six runs, but four of those runs were allowed on opening day way back on March 31.
