It’s one thing to make it as a CEO of a major company, but being a likable and friendly one is another thing.

Millard “Mickey” S. Drexler graduated with a B.S. from UB in 1966 and now works as the likable bossman of J.Crew. In Siliconindia’s list of most-liked CEOs, Drexler came in at 7th, with a 90% likability.

According to Siliconmedia,

Mickey Drexler, another big figure in the list is famously credited with “wardrobing America.” He has contributed his managerial abilities for Ann Taylor, Apple and Gap, and is presently making over J. Crew. He is often applauded for his management style, and for the tactics he employed in improving the employee output.

In 2010, he accepted a private equity offer to take J. Crew private for $3 billion and invested $100 million of his own money into the company.

Before coming to J. Crew he has worked as the CEO at Gap. In 1999, he was a director at Apple. Prior to this, in mid-1970s, he was a merchandising vice-president at Abraham & Straus in Brooklyn, New York. He has also worked for Ann Taylor, Bloomingdale and Macys.

Quite the impressive feat for a guy who could have been partying it up at The Steer back in the 60s.
