In college, the majority of students are there to get an education, meet new people and figure out what they want to do with the rest of their lives.
Occasionally, there are a select number of young adults who want to go above and beyond and really get the most out of the advanced education experience. At the University at Buffalo, the school recognizes a group of student leaders who have gone out of their way to improve the university experience, not just for themselves, but for others as well.
This recognition is summed up in the “Pillars of Leadership” awards ceremony, hosted at the end of the year. Student leaders across all departments and organizations come together for one night to be honored for their service to the school.
