We had nearly 400 entries into our Get Ready for C4MA contest as local style mavens vied for one of the better grand prizes we’ve seen: a $500 Elmwood Avenue shopping spree, a personal styling session with Buffalo’s sartorial superstar Erin Habes and two free general admission tickets to Cause for Mass Appeal on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Church at Evergreen, one of Buffalo’s biggest and most colorful fashion shows.

And the randomly selected winner is…

Congratulations, Erin! Ms. Reedy is a familiar face in the local fashion community , so we know she will have a great time at Cause for Mass Appeal—and shopping the boutiques in the Elmwood Village to get ready for the big show. Cause for Mass Appeal is “...a combination of two of Buffalo’s best-known events—Cause for Celebration, a wildly entertaining fundraising event to benefit the programs and services of Evergreen Health Services—and Mass Appeal, the Elmwood Village fashion phenomenon (and will) feature Buffalo’s top local designers, artists and performers, and showcases the highest level of artistic production,” event organizers recently noted.

Get Ready for C4MA is a unique shopping event slated for Thursday, Nov. 1 in the Elmwood Village that is based on the idea of Fashion’s Night Out, an annual, nationwide celebration in which boutiques in cities around the country stay open late and host special shopping parties. According to the Elmwood Village Association, you will be able to get a hot new look for Cause for Mass Appeal (or, you know, work or going out, too) while saving money and having some fun:

Shop Elmwood boutiques and salons for your Cause for Mass Appeal outfit shoes, accessories, and beauty products. Purchase an Elmwood Village wristband for $10 and receive an exclusive 10% off at participating boutiques and salons. Wristband proceeds support the Elmwood Village Association. Shop all day with your wristband, then enjoy special in-store receptions from 5-8pm. Keep your wristband on and get specials at participating bars. More details coming soon! Our own Kat Przybyla recently reported that “...(C4MA) pre-party doors for the show will open at 6 p.m. and all ticketed attendees are invited. A new addition to the 2012 event, general admission guests are invited to attend a high-energy club party in the basement level of the church featuring cash bar and acoustic performance by the Albrights to start off the night. The VIP lounge party will feature complimentary champagne, beer, wine, hors d’oeuvres and a premium swag bag, along with unique raffles, art auctions, and more.”
