Outsiders’ view of Buffalo winters

This UB Office of University Communications video gives a little insight into what it's like for international students to experience Buffalo winter for the first time.

Having grown up in Western New York and spent the majority of my life here -- with a few international pitstops and years in Manhattan and Syracuse -- it's hard for me to imagine winter any other way. But my eyes were opened to the outsider's view when I was the RA at Canisius College's Campion Hall, the international student living facility on campus. Watching a straight-up adult dance in the freezing rain -- thinking it's snow -- is a memory I won't soon forget.

I love snow. I wish winter would last forever.
