While most children will enjoy a festive holiday season this year — opening gifts, sharing a big holiday meal with family, laughing, playing, being kids — thousands will be left out of the fun without your help.    Your donation of food, toys or cash to the News Neediest Fund will be distributed to the people in our community most in need of help. Last year, with the help of the United Way, more than 12,000 families benefited from your generosity.    Bring your gift of new, unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items or cash donations to The Buffalo News lobby, corner of Washington and Scott streets, downtown Buffalo, weekdays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., or weekends from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
