As a member of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, our mission is to protect the health of U. S. plant and animal resources and facilitate their movement in the global market place. We accomplish this by inspecting passenger baggage, vehicles and agriculturally significant cargo entering the U. S. and by pursuing programs to remove foreign pests accidentally introduced into this country.
