Generating capacity of hydropower plants

The Niagara Power Project in Lewiston has the third–largest generating capacity of any hydropower plant in the nation. In 2005, it
generated more electricity
than alll but one facility in the country. Nearly half of the 15 largest plants
are located in the Pacific Northwest.
