Looks like hockey will be happening in Buffalo next month.

In an announcement made today, the Rochester Americans will continue their 2012-2013 season with a home game hosted at First Niagara Center in downtown Buffalo. The game against the Hamilton Bulldogs was originally scheduled for Oct. 21 and has now been moved to 7:35 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Sabres’ home ice.

According to the Amerks, tickets for the game will go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday and can also be purchased through the First Niagara Center box office.

Ticket pricing is as follows:
100 Level Preferred - $25
200 Club Level - $25
100 Level corners and ends - $20
300 Level - $15

No additional fees will be charged to current Amerks season ticket holders. They can also receive a refund or new ticket to an upcoming Rochester game if they are unable to attend the game in Buffalo.

This is a great move by the Sabres and Amerks organizations to keep fans excited with the lack of NHL hockey currently in place. With big names such as Luke Adam, Marcus Foligno, Cody Hodgson, Corey Tropp and Brayden McNabb among others currently on loan to the AHL, fans are in for a great game.

Also making a splash in the off-season was the introduction of the team’s new third jersey. Take a look at the history of the Amerks sweaters below.
